Receiving Salvation: The Affirmation Of His Lordship

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:12-13)
There are many today who, though have heard about Jesus and believed in Him, have never consciously affirmed His Lordship over their lives; consequently, they’re not saved. Believing isn’t enough; the Bible says even the devils believe and tremble: “You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe–and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?” (James 2:19-20).
There’s a Bible way to receive salvation. Romans 10:9-10 says, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” That’s it! It’s the affirmation of the Lordship of Jesus that catapults the sinner into salvation.
Salvation is free and has been made possible and available to all men by Jesus Christ, but it only becomes a vital experience in the life of those who confess the Lordship of Jesus over their lives. The salvation prayer is quite simple and short but it is the most important prayer of a believer.
It brings to mind what John said in John 1:12: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” Hallelujah! You received Christ into your heart by the affirmation of faith. When you made that declaration according to Romans 10:9-10, Christ took up His abode in you; you became a new creation—a bona fide son or daughter of God—with His life and nature in your spirit. No wonder he says in 1 John 3:1, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God….” Glory to God!
To say the salvation prayer, say this out “Lord God, I believe Jesus is your Son, He came for me, died for me, and was raised back to life for my justification. I believe, and I declare, that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life. I am saved, I am a new creation”. If you said this prayer, contact us via through any of our channels.
