“He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions”. (Psalm 107:20)
The word of God is the power of God. When God wants to heal or deliver, He does it by sending His word. The word of healing is in the scriptures for you. First, let’s identify two ways the bible said you can receive healing.
One of the ways to receive healing is through the prayer of faith ministered by the church pastor or elders. “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” (James 5:14-15). The pastor or leaders of a church can pray for healing for sick brethren to be healed and healing will occur. We see this in the ministry of Jesus Christ who went about healing all who were oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38). This is why being an active member of a bible believing church is crucial. You need a spiritual family.
The second way the bible talks about healing is through faith-filled confessions of the word. Read our theme scripture again. They’re many scriptures on healing, all you have to do is note them down and declare it over yourself. The more you keep declaring God’s word over yourself and your situation, the better your situation changes. The word of God isn’t only for listening; it is for doing and speaking (Hebrews 13:5-6).
Let’s see a practical way to do these. The bible says, “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness–by whose stripes you were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24). Here the Holy Spirit through Peter tells us that Jesus paid the full price for our healing that we who are in Christ should live in health. You should say, “Jesus bore this cancer on the cross and by his stripes I was healed. I declare that I am healed of cancer in the name of Jesus Christ. I uproot every trace and symptom of cancer from my body. I receive healing into my body in Jesus name of Jesus Christ. Amen”.
Again, the bible says “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” (Romans 8:11). you declare, “The resurrection spirit – the Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is alive in me today giving life to my body. I declare that sickness has no place in my body. The Holy Spirit has vitalized me, strengthened me, healed me, and made me whole. I cast out and bind cancer in the name of Jesus Christ.”
There are many scriptures on healing. Speak them over that situation and you shall have the victory.
